3. Estimates and Proposals

Any estimate or proposal provided by Pulse Electric LLC is based on the information available at the time of review. Estimates may be based on photos, customer descriptions, site visits, plans, drawings, or visual inspection.

Unless specifically stated in writing, estimates do not include concealed conditions, damaged existing wiring, inaccessible areas, patching, painting, carpentry, trenching beyond the stated scope, utility company fees, permit fees, inspection fees, engineering fees, after-hours work, or additional work required by the authority having jurisdiction.

All estimates are subject to change if additional work, material, code corrections, unsafe conditions, hidden conditions, or customer-requested changes are discovered.

4. Approval of Work

Work will not begin until the customer approves the scope, pricing, and scheduling terms. Approval may be provided by signed proposal, written authorization, email, text message, verbal approval, deposit payment, or any other written confirmation accepted by Pulse Electric LLC.

By approving work, the customer confirms that they are authorized to approve the work at the property.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be listed on the estimate, proposal, invoice, or written agreement provided to the customer.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, payment is due upon completion of the agreed work. Larger projects may require a deposit, progress payments, rough-in payment, trim-out payment, final payment, or payment upon passing inspection.

Past-due balances may result in delayed scheduling, paused work, collection action, additional administrative fees, or other remedies allowed by law.

6. Deposits and Progress Payments

Deposits may be required to reserve scheduling, order materials, begin permitting, or start work. Progress payments may be required as work reaches certain stages.

For certain home improvement projects, written contracts, payment schedules, cancellation notices, or other disclosures may be required by applicable law. Where required, Pulse Electric LLC will provide the applicable written documents for the project.

7. Changes, Extras, and Change Orders

Any work not specifically included in the approved estimate or proposal is considered additional work. Additional work may require a written change order, revised proposal, or customer approval before proceeding.

Examples of additional work may include relocating wiring not shown in the original scope; correcting unsafe or damaged existing wiring; adding outlets, lights, switches, circuits, or controls; upgrading grounding or bonding; panel corrections or service changes; work required by an inspector, utility company, engineer, architect, or building department; and repairs due to concealed conditions.

Additional work will be billed separately unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Permits and Inspections

Where required, permits and inspections must be obtained in accordance with local laws and the authority having jurisdiction. Permit and inspection fees may be billed separately unless specifically included in the written proposal.

Pulse Electric LLC is not responsible for delays caused by building departments, inspectors, utility companies, architects, engineers, general contractors, property access issues, weather, material availability, or conditions outside our control.

9. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area, electrical panels, utility areas, attic, basement, crawl spaces, parking, and any areas needed to complete the work.

The customer is also responsible for moving furniture, personal belongings, valuables, stored items, vehicles, or obstructions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Pulse Electric LLC is not responsible for damage to items left in or around the work area.

10. Existing Conditions

Electrical systems may contain hidden, outdated, unsafe, damaged, overloaded, or non-code-compliant conditions that are not visible during the initial estimate.

Pulse Electric LLC is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, defective existing wiring, improper prior work, hidden junction boxes, damaged devices, faulty equipment, inaccessible wiring, or conditions caused by others.

If unsafe or non-compliant conditions are discovered, additional work may be required before the original scope can be completed safely.

11. Cutting, Patching, and Finish Work

Unless specifically stated in writing, pricing does not include drywall repair, plaster repair, painting, tile repair, flooring repair, siding repair, concrete repair, landscaping, masonry, carpentry, or other finish restoration.

Electrical work may require openings in walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, trim, or exterior surfaces. Pulse Electric LLC will make reasonable efforts to minimize openings, but patching and finish restoration are the responsibility of the customer unless specifically included in writing.

12. Materials and Owner-Supplied Equipment

Pulse Electric LLC may install customer-supplied fixtures, devices, equipment, lighting, fans, appliances, EV chargers, or other materials when acceptable and code-compliant.

Pulse Electric LLC is not responsible for defects, missing parts, incorrect sizing, damaged items, warranty issues, product failures, incompatible equipment, or delays caused by owner-supplied materials.

If owner-supplied materials are defective, incomplete, or unsuitable, additional labor may be billed.

13. Warranty

Pulse Electric LLC stands behind its workmanship. Unless otherwise stated in writing, workmanship is warranted for one year from the date of completion.

This warranty does not cover owner-supplied materials; manufacturer defects; existing wiring or existing equipment; damage caused by others; misuse, overloading, tampering, water damage, fire, rodents, pests, weather, power surges, utility issues, or acts of nature; work altered by another contractor or person after completion; or normal wear and tear.

Manufacturer warranties, where applicable, are provided by the manufacturer and not by Pulse Electric LLC.

14. Scheduling and Delays

Scheduling is based on availability, material delivery, job readiness, permits, inspections, weather, access, and other project conditions.

Pulse Electric LLC will make reasonable efforts to meet scheduled dates, but exact dates are not guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing.

15. Emergency Work

Emergency or after-hours service may be billed at a higher rate. Emergency work may be limited to making the condition safe, temporary repair, troubleshooting, or restoring essential electrical service.

Permanent repairs, code corrections, permits, inspections, or additional work may require a separate proposal.

Sales tax will be applied where required by New York State law. Certain repair, maintenance, or installation services may be taxable, while qualifying capital improvement work may be treated differently when proper documentation is completed.

Customers may be required to provide the appropriate tax documentation, such as a capital improvement certificate, when applicable.

16. Sales Tax
17. Right to Cancel

For certain home improvement contracts, customers may have the right to cancel within the time period required by law. Where required, Pulse Electric LLC will provide the applicable cancellation notice with the written contract or proposal.

Emergency work or other legally recognized exceptions may be handled differently when permitted by law.

When you submit information through this website, email, phone, or text message, you agree that Pulse Electric LLC may contact you regarding your request, estimate, project, scheduling, invoices, or service-related matters.

Submitting a form does not create a contract, guarantee service, or confirm scheduling

18. Website Forms and Communications
19. Photos, Plans, and Project Information

Customers may provide photos, drawings, plans, measurements, or descriptions to help with estimating. The customer is responsible for providing accurate information.

Pulse Electric LLC may take photos of work areas for estimating, documentation, permitting, inspections, before-and-after records, or project files.

Project photos will not be used for marketing in a way that identifies the customer or private property without permission.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pulse Electric LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost profits, delays, business interruption, utility interruption, damage caused by pre-existing conditions, or work performed by others.

Pulse Electric LLC's responsibility is limited to the work specifically agreed to in writing.

21. No Guarantee of Code Approval Until Inspection

Pulse Electric LLC performs work in a professional manner and in accordance with applicable electrical standards and local requirements. However, final approval may depend on the authority having jurisdiction, inspector interpretation, utility requirements, existing property conditions, and project-specific circumstances.

Any additional work required by an inspector, building department, utility company, engineer, architect, or other authority may be billed separately unless specifically included in the written scope.
